Berenson Capital, a division of Berenson, today announces the official partnership with Jeff Muto, a leading operating executive focused on industrial technology with an emphasis in both the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and environmental, government and social (ESG) industries. The Operating Executive Program represents a key tenet of Berenson’s investment approach: partnering with talented industry executives throughout the investment life cycle, from sourcing and diligence of investment opportunities to creation of value post-close. 

Jeff has spent the past decade working within two private equity backed companies within the supply chain risk management sector. The first was a four-year stint with a Norwest Venture Partners company, Avetta. As VP of Global Marketing, Muto led all aspects of go-to-market and drove the company’s expansion into key new markets, its innovation initiatives, and the re-imagination of its vision and purpose. The result was an organic 5X increase in ARR and a +6X increase in enterprise value. The company later sold to Welsh Carson. More recently, Jeff held the role of Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer with Thoma Bravo-backed Veriforce where he was instrumental in driving both organic and inorganic growth initiatives, that created a growth trajectory similar to that of Avetta’s.  

Jeff is a recognized thought-leader in the niche sector supply chain risk and compliance management sector and the architect of much of the industry’s visionary innovation and growth over the past decade. His experience leading companies spans time with Avetta, LogicalApps, Oracle and HP/Ingram Micro.
